The Cama Beach Store

The Store is closed until further notice.
All events at Cama Beach State Park are cancelled until further notice

Cama Beach Foundation operates the old-fashioned "Mercantile" or "General Store" at Cama Beach State Park. Our store is open to the public and located down on the beach, just north of the cabins.

Groceries, Souvenirs, and Gifts
The mercantile carries a variety of groceries such as chips, candy bars, beverages, ice cream, bubble gum, and candy. The “drug store” isle has soap, toothpaste, and other household items that are sometimes left at home. We have a “sporting goods” isle with an assortment of fishing gear and bait. We also stock a few camping and campfire supplies such as propane, hot dog roasting sticks, and s’more kits.
Our mercantile is also stocked with many toys: stuffed animals, puppets, beach balls, toy boats, and puzzles. We even have a “Kite Korner”.

Our bookshelves and racks have children’s books as well as natural history and guide books.

We have a variety of beautiful postcards, note cards, and quilted items by local artists.

Many of our souvenirs are branded with the park logo, “Cama”, “Camano Island”, or the iconic Cama Beach cabins to help remind you of your time at magical Cama Beach State Park.
The Cama Beach Store's Annual Schedule
  • The mercantile half of the building opens the first week of April each year for spring break visitors.
  • After spring break, the store is open on Saturdays only until mid June.
  • Once school is out we move to our summer schedule - open 7-days a week for the remainder of the summer.  Hours during the summer are 10 am - 4 pm.
  • During September & October the store is only open on Saturdays.
  • The store will be on vacation for the month of November.
  • We'll open the store on Saturdays in December for WinterFest, then we'll be closed January - March.
  • When the store is closed we offer a small "self-serve" cart with a few essential items - it's available anytime the building is open.

Our programs are powered by volunteer energy. If you would like to volunteer for any of the programs you see here, give Janet a call or email, (360) 387-2062 or earthcards07@gmail.com.

Information & History
When you visit Cama, be sure to stop by the State Park's Information Desk where you can get information about cabin rentals, park trails, tides information, and daily activities.

The park lends out sports equipment, games, and books.

The Information half of the building doubles as a museum. From the days when Cama was a privately owned fishing resort, see the old-time mail boxes, cash register, adding machine, plates, utensils, and cookware. The park also has a number of stuffed ducks, geese, swans, a bear cub, and a beaver.
