Part of Cama Beach State Park is Closed
From the Washington State Parks' homepage for Cama Beach State Park:
As of Monday, February 26, 2024, the cabins and restrooms in the lower area at Cama Beach State Park will be closed until further notice. Day-use in that area will remain open, but restrooms will only be available in other parts of the park. Significant parts of the septic system recently failed in the area, and the repairs will require extensive disturbance of the area, which has known environmental and cultural complexities.
Reservations will be refunded in full, and we’re very sorry for the disruption this may cause. We hope you’ll consider visiting one of the other parks in the area. As we continue to evaluate the site, it is possible additional mitigations or closures of parts of the park will take place. Please keep checking these alerts for the latest information.

Cama Beach Foundation is a nonprofit organization that operates with a mostly-volunteer staff. Our goal is to support Camano Island State Park and
Cama Beach Historical State Park by offering visitors educational and interpretive programs that enhance their visit to the Parks. We coordinate our efforts with Parks staff but we receive no financial support from Washington State Parks. Nor does CBF speak for Washington State Parks or the Parks and Recreation Commission.
Our operations are funded by generous donations from people like you and by proceeds from sales at the historic Cama Beach Store.
