Follow the Adventures of our Cama Travel Bugs

We have launched a series of "Cama Beach via Stanwood" Geocache
Travel Bugs from Cama. They have been moved from cache to cache by geocachers who happen to cross their path. Some have stayed in Puget Sound and others have gotten to visit other countries - it's all luck of the draw.

Our travel bugs are miniature signs, about the size of a credit card. When cachers find our travel bugs they learn about Cama and the historic role the signs played in advertising the original Cama Beach Fishing Resort.

This is the information attached to each Cama Travel Bug:
The goal for all our Cama Travel Bugs: To travel to caches located in parks (and places in between).

Info About Cama Beach Signs: Cama Beach was founded by LeRoy Stradley in 1934 as a privately-owned fishing resort. Sadly, Mr Stradley passed away in 1938. His daughter, Muriel, and her husband Lee Risk took over the resort and ran it until 1989.

During those years, wooden signs similar to this TB were placed around the region to direct people to Cama Beach Fishing Resort.
