“Walk in the Park” begins on June 13 which is “National Get Outdoors Day”, and continues through September 30. Anyone who shows a Discover Pass at a participating SUBWAY in Washington receives a voucher good for a free six-inch sandwich with the purchase of a six-inch sandwich of equal or greater price and a 30-oz. drink. Vouchers also are available at parks.
“The partnership with Washington State Parks and the Walk in the Park program both encourage families to spend more time in the outdoors and promote healthier, more active lifestyles,” said David Jones, SUBWAY Advertising Board Chairman. “Our goal is to educate our state’s children on the importance of staying active and inform families of the diverse outdoor activities that are readily available in the state of Washington. Getting outside and enjoying the great outdoors together is a great way to stay healthy, which is why we decided to implement the Walk in the Park program for the third year now.”
National Get Outdoors Day is an annual event to encourage healthy, active outdoor fun. One of the primary goals of the day is to encourage new guests to visit public lands and reconnect youth to the great outdoors.
