Lunch Catering by Cama Cafe

7/28/2013

Cama Café is now available for offsite lunch catering. Below is a sample of their menu.

Cama Cafe is open seven days a week 9am-2pm during the summer; in the fall, winter, and spring they have shorter hours (check Cama Cafe’s website for hours).

Cama Cafe makes almost everything from scratch and customizes every order, so it’s best to give them 72 hours advance notice (but they’ll do their best to accommodate your catering emergencies!)

BOXED LUNCH MENU $13.50 each
Each box includes Tim’s Cascade potato chips or the Cafe's own potato salad and your choice of chocolate chip cookie or organic apple, plus a compostable fork and napkin, and bottled water.

SALAD IN A BOX $12.50 each
Each salad includes a small container of dressing, organic apple or chocolate chip cookie, fork and napkin, bottled water, and ONE of the following choices: sliced turkey breast, Albacore tuna salad, or hummus.

ALA CARTE SANDWICH PLATTERS $5 per serving

FAMILY STYLE SALADS

QUICK AND EASY SANDWICH PLATTER $12 per person

Prices include delivery on Camano Island with minimum $100 order. For Stanwood area, add $20.

To take advantage of this wonderful service, contact Cama Cafe at (360)-387-3266 or camabeachcafe@gmail.com

Cama BEACH ART Festival - Aug 24

7/27/2013

This isn’t your typical sand castle contest. There’s no sand, no digging, no castles and no contest. Just a unique opportunity to be creative and have fun! Register and work as an individual or as a team with up to five members. Try your hand at drawing or sculpting using only inanimate objects found on the beach: shells, shell fragments, rocks and gravel and perhaps a piece of driftwood (no bothering the crabs or seastars!). This event is sponsored by the Cama Beach Foundation. The festivities begin at noon and run until 3 pm.

4th Annual CamOcean August 17th

Hard to believe that it is already the fourth year of CamOcean. The festivities will run from 11 am - 4 pm.

This year we have: two bands (Chandler Stone and Raintown), crafts, beach walks, family activities, geocaching, educational booths and storytelling.

Plus, this year we will have live, interactive scuba diving demonstrations. This will be amazing. A diver equipped with a camera that will be wired to a screen at the Boathouse and the diver will be wearing a microphone with the ability to communicate with guests in the Boathouse. Wow, technology in the park, I’m looking forward to park visitors interacting with the diver.

This great event is due to the hard work of Christine Longdon. This incredible volunteer dreamed up this event, talked a whole lot of people into helping her, and has been the driving force to make this happen every year. If you see her, thank her. Christine is what Cama is all about...
